Mandra flooding, technical advisory services

Project type:

Consulting services

In November 2017, the city of Mandra, Greece, experienced the deadliest flash flood in its history, causing widespread devastation and tragic loss of life. In the wake of this disaster, our CEO was called upon to provide consulting services to the municipality's engineers and the Mayor, offering expert guidance on managing the aftermath and advising on strategic recovery efforts.

His role encompassed damage assessment, immediate mitigation planning, and technical consultation on the new drainage project being designed by the Regional Authorities. At the time, this infrastructure project had not yet been tendered.

This project was particularly significant for RCE, as it required a multidisciplinary approach, integrating both engineering and legal expertise to navigate the technical, regulatory, and administrative challenges associated with post-disaster infrastructure planning.
